FAQ
Why do I need a Gabel Equipment Corp. generator & how will it work?
With a stand-by emergency generator installed by Gabel Equipment, before you notice that the power has gone out in your neighborhood, your emergency generator will have automatically switched on, delivering power to your home or facility's critical circuits. Prior to installation, you will decide which areas or systems should receive electricity and, when the emergency hits, your generator will make sure the power gets there. You will not have to do anything. The power will go on within seconds and will remain on for as long as it’s needed. The generator will shut off as soon as the normal power comes back on.
Should I have a maintenance/service contract and why?
Yes, absolutely! It’s just like your heating system maintenance agreement. Installing the generator is just the beginning. Your generator should be inspected each year, at a minimum. Just like a car, generators have engines that require scheduled preventative maintenance. That will ensure that the generator is operating properly and will perform as expected when your power goes out. Without maintaining your generator, its life expectancy will drop and, worse, it may even fail you when you most need it.
Gabel Equipment offers annual service contracts that include three visits. These visits consist of two inspections and one major “PM” (Preventative Maintenance) wherein we replace the oil, oil filter, and spark plugs.
How much does a generator system cost?
The cost of a new generator installation will vary according to the capacity, fuel type, electrical and fuel installation, and it’s placement on your property. Gabel Equipment will be happy to walk you through the process and discuss what type of unit you will need and its cost. We offer free estimates!
